An initial adult patient visit is 1-2 hours. The reason for this length of visit is that Dr. Rodgers takes the time to investigate how each medical concern started and changed throughout the lifetime of a patient. In order to understand a current medical condition, it is important to understand the many factors that may have contributed to that condition. Past medical history and the many contributing lifestyle factors are explored. The understanding gained from this detailed interview as well as a physical and laboratory exams help determine where supportive treatment starts.
By the end of the visit, both Dr. Rodgers and the patient have a better understanding of factors that may have contributed to the patient’s current medical complaint, as well as the next steps to help achieve better health.
